The Indira Gandhi National Open University was established by an Act of Parliament in 1985. Today it serves the educational aspirations of about 1.8 million students in India and 32 countries abroad through 21 Schools of Studies and an elaborate network of 58 Regional centres, 1804 study centres, and 49 overseas centres. The University is making all efforts to take higher education to the doorsteps of the hitherto unreached. As of now, we cater to about 10% of all students enrolled in higher education in the country are enrolled with IGNOU. Apart from teaching and research, extension and training form the mainstay of its academic activities. It also acts as a national resource centre; and more importantly, functions as an apex body to promote and maintain standards of distance education. The University has its presence in 32 countries. The Commonwealth of Learning has recognised it as one of its centres of excellence. It also has the unique privilege of hosting the Secretariats of SAARC Consortium of Open Distance Learning (SACODiL) approved by Heads of Govts. of SAARC Nations and Global Mega Universities Network (GMUNET) initially promoted by UNESCO. |

Punjab Technical University (P.T.U.) is a state owned university of Punjab Government established under the gazatte notification No. 1-leg / 97 dated 16.01.1997 Punjab Technical University has 101 colleges ( 58 Management College, 34 Engineering College & 9 Pharmacy College). Under its Distance Education Programmes it has more than 351 study centers all across India of IT and Non - IT courses. All courses as per UGC Nomenclature referred to section 22 (1) of U.G.C.
All Degree, Marksheets are being awarded by P.T.U. directly examinations are being conducted under the supervision of university at all India Level simultaneously. University is a member of Association of India University (AIU) also accredited by International University accerditation association of U.S.A. |

The Institute is an affiliate of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH & LA), the trade association representing the $ 85.6 billion lodging industry in the United States. The Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (EI) is the premier source for delivering quality hospitality education, training and professional certification that serves the needs of hospitality schools and industries worldwide.
The Educational Institute certifies and validates competencies in conjunction with academia and industry experts for 36 positions in the hospitality industry. Designation from line - level to General Manager.
The Educational Institute works closely with numerous hospitality and International and Domestic Government Organizations to provide information to professional certification programs, customize existing Ei training programs, develop new resource new resources, and participate in conferences that advances the cause for the hospitality industry. |

Founded by the legendary Rai Bahadur M. S. Oberoi on October 6, 1950, HRANI has come a long way in serving the causes of hospitality industry in North Indian States. The mission, which was started with just 27 members, has today grown as an association with nearly 1500 strong members who consist of 800 hotels, 600 restaurants and 100 associates from North India. This Herculean effort is undoubtedly credited to the Late Ram Prasad Ji, who served as President of HRANI for the longest period.
